Development
The Scorpion or FV101 was developed by Alvis to Replace the Saladin armoured car, first prototypes were completed in 1969 and production began in 1972. By 1996 more than 3,500 had been built for home and export. The vehicle is fully amphibious, propelled by it tracks. Other varients of this are the Scorpion 90, Stricker, Spartan, Stormer, Streaker, Samson, Samarritan, Sultan, Scimitar, Sabre.
